Careers Festival Day is our biggest Careers event of the year, with the whole school off timetable for a day of nothing but Careers & Employability learning. Each year group has their own individually curated schedule that targets Careers Learning that is suitable for their age & level of employability learning.
We are in the process of planning a MMI (Multi Mini Interview) Event for our Y13 Medics on Wednesday 19th November between 6.30-8.30pm. We have already secured the help of some medical professionals but are looking for more.

As part of work our partnership work with Nottingham Forest Community Trust and Ideagen, year 10 pupils were given complimentary tickets to see Forest V Liverpool.
Last term, forty Year 12 students travelled to Cambridge University for a HE+ visit. Students, who may not have considered applying for an Oxbridge University, were both inspired and reassured throughout a fantastic, informative day.
The 14th March saw eight of our KS3 students become journalists for the day. They were insightful and inquisitive in their interviewing and quickly turned their hand to writing articles, working together as a team to take on different roles to ensure their work was ready to published in the school’s online ‘Cliffe Notes magazine.
Working in partnership with IDEAGEN, a local IT company based in Ruddington, Nottingham Forest Community Trust delivered a talk about the importance of technology in the work place and the technology support IDEAGEN carries out for Nottingham Forest to improve game analysis, performance and many other things at the ground.
Our Year 12’s took part in fantastic workshops from the Department of Work and Pensions, looking at employability, CV’s and interview skills. Such useful sessions, preparing students for the world of work.
On Wednesday 15th November Rushcliffe Sixth Form hosted an MMI (Multiple Mini Interview) evening to prepare our year 13 students for the selection process they will face in applying to study Medicine or Dentistry. MMIs are often considered to be the ‘final hurdle’ in achieving offers for medical school.
On May 3rd 2023, the Rushcliffe careers team undertook an assessment day for the Quality in Careers Standard by Complete Careers. We are delighted to share the news that we have received the Career Mark Gold award for our continuous good practice.
Career Mark is a set of standards used to measure how effectively careers provision is delivered and managed. Five standards make up the framework, four measuring how the careers provision is managed and delivered, with the fifth measure focusing on learner outcomes.
